Jeep Wrangler YJ TJ 87-02 1.5" Longer Skid Plate Bolts and Nutserts with Tool

Complete set of (6) transfer case / transmission skid plate nutserts / rivnuts to replace spinning or damaged nutserts in the frame rail, plus the tool to install them and (6) Grade 8 hardened yellow zinc plated (1.5" longer than stock) countersunk bolts for attaching the skid plate.

Fits all 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ's and all 1997-2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ's with a transfer case drop.

These nutserts are heavy duty, Made in the USA and are yellow zinc plated for excellent corrosion resistance. These are not the light duty nutserts that are commonly available. They have better resistance to "spin out," the most common failure of nutserts, over the factory nutserts.

These crimp down tighter and grip better than the originals that commonly fail. They are larger diameter giving them increased surface area to grip, 11/16" OD vs. the smaller factory 5/8" OD nutserts, so increasing the size of the holes in the frame by 1/16" will be necessary. This can also be beneficial if your frame holes are stretched or rusted on the edges making them larger than the 5/8" they originally were, which is most likely the case if your original nutserts are spinning. The internal thread is the same size as factory. 

The installation tool includes: Full thread tap bolt, nut, washer, and thrust bearing

Bolts replace Mopar part number 6035836

Bolts are for use with 1.25"-1.5" transfer case drop.

We also carry stock length and 1" longer than stock skid plate bolts.

These are the best replacement skid plate bolts available. They have the correct countersink. They are not regular bolts with aluminum washers like others are selling.
